Angèle Joséphine Aimée Van Laeken, known simply as Angèle, was born on December 3, 1995, in Uccle, Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. She is the daughter of singer Marka (Serge Van Laeken) and actress Laurence Bibot, which undoubtedly influenced her artistic inclinations from a young age. Encouraged by her father, she began learning the piano early on, laying the foundation for her future musical career. Angèle faced challenges during her adolescence, attending a strict Catholic school before transferring to the Decroly School, where she could explore her artistic talents. She later honed her skills at the Jazz Studio Antwerp, further preparing her for a career in music.

Career

Angèle's career took off in 2017 when she began performing in the streets of Brussels, gaining attention for her unique blend of singing and comedy on social media. Her first single, "La Loi de Murphy," released in late 2017, garnered millions of views, marking her as a rising star. In 2018, she released her breakthrough single "Tout oublier," featuring her brother Roméo Elvis, which broke records by spending nine weeks at the top of the Belgian singles charts. Her debut album, "Brol," released on October 5, 2018, solidified her status in the music industry, leading to performances on various French TV shows and summer festivals across Europe.

Personal Life

Angèle's personal life has been as vibrant as her music. From 2017 to 2019, she was in a relationship with French dancer Léo Walk, which inspired her song "Perdus" about their breakup.
