His exposure to the works of poets like Pablo Neruda and César Vallejo influenced his songwriting style, which is characterized by rich metaphors and literary references. In the early 1970s, his political beliefs led him to join anti-fascist groups, prompting him to go into exile in London. During this time, he collaborated with the magazine Poesía 70 and began to establish his presence in the music scene.

Over the years, Sabina has released numerous albums, including notable works such as "Malas compañías," "19 días y 500 noches," and "Lo niego todo." His music often explores themes of love, heartbreak, and societal issues, showcasing his unique baroque style. Sabina's contributions to music have earned him several prestigious awards, including the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.
