Early Life

Ivi Adamou was born on November 24, 1993, in Paralimni, Famagusta, to a Greek Cypriot father and a Bulgarian mother. Growing up in Ayia Napa, she was the second of three children, with two sisters, Despina and Cleopatra. At the age of nine, Ivi first took the stage, winning a local music competition with a performance of "Kaka Paidia" by Anna Vissi. This early success led her to pursue music theory, vocal lessons, and piano, laying the foundation for her future career.

Career

Ivi gained national recognition after participating in the second season of the Greek version of The X Factor in 2009, where she finished in sixth place. Her performances, heavily influenced by artists like Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera, showcased her vocal talent and charisma. Following her elimination, she signed a recording contract with Sony Music Greece. In 2012, she represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest with her hit single "La La Love," which helped her gain further acclaim across Europe. Her discography includes successful albums such as "Καλοκαίρι στην καρδιά" and singles like "Madness" and "Δικό Μου."

Personal Life

While pursuing her music career, Ivi also studied sociology at Panteion University in Athens, graduating in 2015. She has been involved in various charitable activities, including campaigns for cervical cancer prevention. In her personal life, Ivi was in a relationship with Michalis Kouinelis, with whom she welcomed her first child, a daughter named Anatoli-Nefeli, in June 2018. Ivi continues to be a prominent figure in the pop music scene, admired for her talent and dedication to her craft.
