Early Life

Haifa Wehbe, born on March 10, 1976, in Mahrouna, Tyre District, Lebanon, is a prominent Lebanese singer and actress. She is the daughter of a Lebanese Shia Muslim father, Muhammad Wehbe, and an Egyptian mother, Sayeda Abd al-Aziz Ibrahim. Raised in Beirut, Haifa has three sisters and one brother. At the age of sixteen, she won the title of Miss South Lebanon and later competed in the Miss Lebanon pageant, where she was initially a runner-up. However, her title was revoked due to a violation of eligibility rules, which required contestants to be unmarried and childless.

Career

Wehbe transitioned from modeling to music in the early 2000s, quickly establishing herself in the Middle Eastern pop scene. Her debut album, "Houwa El-Zaman," released in 2002, marked her entry into the music industry and showcased her vocal talent. Over the years, she has released several successful albums, including "Baddi Eesh," "Habibi Ana," and "Maliket Jamal El Kon." In addition to her music career, Wehbe has appeared in various television series and films, further solidifying her status as a multifaceted entertainer. Notably, she survived a filming accident in 2007, where a plane struck her vehicle during a music video shoot, resulting in minor injuries.

Personal Life

Haifa's personal life has been as colorful as her career. She was married to Nasr Fayyad in the early 1990s, with whom she has a daughter. In 2009, she married Egyptian businessman Ahmed Abou Hashima, but the couple separated in 2012. Wehbe's residence was damaged during the Beirut port explosion on August 4, 2020, while she was filming a television series, highlighting the challenges she faced beyond her artistic endeavors. Despite these setbacks, Haifa Wehbe remains a beloved figure in the Arab entertainment industry, known for her resilience and talent.
