Early Life

Ashleigh Adele Ball was born on March 31, 1983, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. From a young age, she showed a passion for the arts, which would later manifest in her multifaceted career as both a voice actress and a musician.

Career

Ball's career took off as she became a prominent voice actress, lending her talents to various beloved characters in animated series and films. Notably, she voiced characters in the My Little Pony franchise, where she portrayed two of the six main characters, Applejack and Rainbow Dash. This role not only showcased her vocal abilities but also connected her with a dedicated fanbase known as bronies, adult fans of the show. Her experiences with this community were documented in the film "A Brony Tale," directed by Brent Hodge, which followed her interactions at BronyCon 2012.

In addition to her voice acting, Ashleigh is a member of the pop rock band Hey Ocean!, which has contributed to her popularity in the music scene. She released her debut solo EP, "Gold in You," on June 2, 2017, following the music video for her single "Crazy" on May 2 of the same year.
