Chickenfoot

Formation

Chickenfoot is an American hard rock supergroup formed in February 2008, originating from a jam session between vocalist Sammy Hagar, bassist Michael Anthony, and drummer Chad Smith at Hagar's Cabo Wabo club in Mexico. The trio decided to bring in renowned guitarist Joe Satriani to complete the lineup, believing he was the best guitarist for their project. The name "Chickenfoot" was initially a casual moniker that stuck as the band gained popularity.
