Early Life
Sean John Combs, known professionally as Diddy, was born on November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York City. Raised in a challenging environment, he lost his father, Melvin Earl Combs, to gun violence when he was just two years old. His mother, Janice Combs, worked as a model and teacher's assistant, striving to provide for Sean and his younger sister, Keisha.
