Early Life

Khaled Mohammed Khaled, known professionally as DJ Khaled, was born on November 26, 1975, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Palestinian immigrant parents. His father hailed from Al-Mazra'a ash-Sharqiya and his mother from Ramallah. Growing up in a musical household, Khaled developed an early interest in rap and soul music, supported by his parents who were musicians themselves. He began his career in music working at a local record store, Merry-Go-Round, where he honed his passion for the industry.

Career

DJ Khaled's career took off in the late 1990s when he moved to Miami and began DJing in reggae sound clashes. He gained recognition as a radio personality, co-hosting The Luke Show on WEDR "99 Jamz". In 2006, he released his debut album, "Listennn... The Album," which debuted at number 12 on the US Billboard 200. His subsequent albums, including "We the Best" and "We Global," solidified his status in the hip-hop community. Khaled is known for his collaborations with major artists, often serving as a producer and hype man, and is recognized for his distinctive catchphrases and motivational style.

Personal Life

DJ Khaled is married to Nicole Tuck, with whom he has two sons, Asahd and Aalam. He is a devout Muslim and has shared his experiences of faith, including a pilgrimage to Mecca. Khaled is known for his extravagant lifestyle, owning multiple luxury cars and properties, including a mansion in Miami dubbed "the Resort." Despite a fear of flying for nearly a decade, he overcame it and invested in a private jet, showcasing his commitment to his career and family.
