Helen Maxine Reddy was born on October 25, 1941, in Melbourne, Australia, into a show business family. She began her career as an entertainer at the tender age of four, performing in vaudeville. A dedicated genealogist, she founded the Tasmanian Genealogical Society and extensively researched her family's history.
