He gained significant recognition with the hit film "Bharya" and continued to collaborate with prominent music directors. Over his six-decade career, Yesudas has recorded over 50,000 songs and holds the world record for singing 16 new songs in different languages in a single day. His contributions to music extend beyond playback singing, as he also composed several Malayalam film songs during the 1970s and 1980s.
