Nick Lachey

Early Life

Nicholas Scott Lachey was born on November 9, 1973, in Harlan, Kentucky, to Cathalyn and John Lachey. He grew up alongside his brother, Drew Lachey, who is also a singer and actor. Nick's early education took place at Clovernook Elementary School and the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. He later attended Miami University, where he joined the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Lachey has a diverse ancestry, including Dutch, English, Scottish, German, and distant Welsh and French roots.

Career

Lachey began his professional singing career in the mid-1990s at Kings Island, performing in a doo-wop quartet. He gained fame as the lead singer of the boyband 98 Degrees, which included his brother Drew and friends Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons. The group achieved significant success with their album "98 Degrees and Rising," selling over 10 million records. Lachey also ventured into reality television, starring in the hit MTV series "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" with his then-wife Jessica Simpson. His solo career includes albums such as "SoulO," "What's Left of Me," and "A Father's Lullaby." Notably, his album "What's Left of Me" debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold.

In addition to music, Lachey has appeared in television shows, including a recurring role on "Charmed" and hosting various programs like NBC's "The Sing-Off" and Netflix's "Love Is Blind." In 2021, he showcased his talent by winning the fifth season of "The Masked Singer."
