Formation

Scooter, a prominent German dance and rave band, was formed on December 1, 1993, in Hamburg. The original lineup included lead vocalist H.P. Baxxter, keyboardist Rick J. Jordan, and Ferris Bueller, who contributed keyboard and other vocals. The band quickly established itself in the techno and rave music scene, gaining popularity with their energetic performances and catchy tracks.

Key Releases and Lineup Changes

Throughout their career, Scooter has released numerous albums, including notable titles such as "...and the Beat Goes On!", "Our Happy Hardcore", and "Jumping All Over the World". The group has undergone several lineup changes over the years. Ferris Bueller left the band in January 1998, while Rick J. Jordan remained until January 2014. In 2002, Jay Frog joined as a keyboardist, and after a brief hiatus, he returned to the group in 2022. The current lineup also features Marc Blou, who joined in January 2023.

Legacy and Influence

Scooter has sold over 30 million records and received more than 80 Gold and Platinum awards, solidifying their status as one of the most successful electronic music acts in Germany. Their unique blend of happy hardcore, techno, and rave music has influenced many artists in the genre, and they continue to be a significant presence in the electronic music scene today. As of December 2022, the band remains active, with H.P. Baxxter leading the charge alongside a talented group of musicians and producers.
