Early Life

Roselyn Milagros Sánchez Rodríguez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1973, as the youngest of four siblings. From a young age, she displayed a passion for dancing and acting, often entertaining her family with performances. After completing her primary education, she enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico to study marketing, following in the footsteps of her father and brothers. However, after three years, she decided to pursue her artistic dreams and moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study dancing, acting, and singing. Her film career began in 1992 with a small role in "Captain Ron."

Career

Sánchez first gained public recognition in Puerto Rico as a dancer and co-host of the variety show "Qué Vacilón." Her beauty and talent led her to win the Miss Puerto Rico Petite contest in 1993 and the international title of Miss American Petite in 1994. She starred in numerous films, including "Rush Hour 2" and "Chasing Papi," and has appeared in about 20 movies. In 2003, she released her debut music album, "Borinqueña," featuring the hit single "Amor Amor," which earned a Latin Grammy nomination. Sánchez also appeared in music videos for artists like Craig David and Fabolous, showcasing her versatility as an entertainer.

Personal Life

Sánchez's personal life has been marked by her relationships and family. She was married to Gary Stretch from 1998 to 2001 and later dated salsa singer Víctor Manuelle. In 2008, she married actor Eric Winter, and they have two children, conceived through IVF. Sánchez has been open about her struggles with endometriosis and infertility, advocating for awareness and support. Additionally, she serves as a spokesperson for the Fundación de Niños San Jorge, which aids sick children from underprivileged families.
