Vukašin Brajić

Early Life

Vukašin Brajić was born into a family of three children in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where his passion for music ignited at a young age. Despite the challenges posed by the Bosnian War, which forced his family to relocate to Serbia in 1994, Vukašin's determination to pursue music never waned. He self-taught himself to play the guitar and keyboard, honing his skills through books and the internet. His first guitar, a gift from his uncle, inspired him to declare that it would one day support his family. Vukašin's early experiences included singing in a choir and participating in a dance studio and drama club, which laid the groundwork for his future performances.

Career

Vukašin's breakthrough came in 2008 when he participated in the first season of "Operacija trijumf," the ex-Yugoslav version of Star Academy, where he finished as the runner-up. Following this success, he joined the band "OT Bend" with fellow contestants and performed at notable events, including an opening act for James Blunt in Belgrade. The band competed in the Beovizija 2009, where they achieved significant acclaim, finishing as the first runner-up. Vukašin's post-OT career included concerts in major venues and a summer tour in Montenegro, where they won the "breakthrough of the year" award at the Sunčane skale festival.
