Christophe Le Friant, known professionally as Bob Sinclar, was born on May 10, 1969, in Paris, France. He began his musical journey in the 1980s, initially DJing under the alias Chris the French Kiss. During this formative period, he was heavily influenced by hip hop and jazz, which led him to create music projects like The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, the latter of which featured a collaboration with a group of musicians under the alias Desmond K.

Career Development

In 1998, Le Friant adopted the stage name Bob Sinclar, inspired by the character from the 1973 film "Le Magnifique." He quickly gained recognition for his role in popularizing the "French touch" of house music, characterized by his innovative use of sampled and filtered disco strings. Sinclar's musical style is deeply rooted in themes of peace, love, and house music, which resonated with audiences worldwide.

Throughout the 2000s, Sinclar released several international hits, including "The Beat Goes On" (2002), "Love Generation" (2005), and "World, Hold On (Children of the Sky)" (2006).
