Eric Lynn Wright, known professionally as Eazy-E, was born on September 7, 1964, in Compton, California. Growing up in a middle-class family, his father worked as a postal worker while his mother was a grade-school administrator. Eazy-E's debut solo album, "Eazy-Duz-It," was released in 1988 and became a landmark in West Coast hip-hop and gangsta rap, selling over 2.5 million copies. His contributions to N.W.A's subsequent album, "Straight Outta Compton," further solidified his status in the music world. Personal Life
Eazy-E had a son, Eric Darnell Wright, known as Lil Eazy-E, and a daughter named Erin. He was married to Tomica Woods shortly before his death in 1995, and they had two children together. Eazy-E was also known for his controversial views, including his attendance at a lunch with President George H. W. Bush in 1991, which drew criticism from some in the hip-hop community. Despite his untimely death from AIDS-related complications in 1995, his legacy continues to influence the genre of hip-hop.
