N.W.A, an influential American hip-hop group, was formed in 1986 in Compton, California, by Eazy-E, who co-founded Ruthless Records. The original lineup included Dr. Dre, Arabian Prince, and Ice Cube, who initially rapped for the group C.I.A. The group released their first single, "Panic Zone," in 1987, which was included in the compilation album "N.W.A. and the Posse."
