Биография
Formation
Migos, an American hip hop group, was formed in 2008 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, by Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. Originally known as the Polo Club, the trio adopted the name Migos, a nod to 'Three Amigos', reflecting their close-knit friendship. Quavo, born Quavious Keyate Marshall, is Takeoff's uncle, while Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was a classmate of Quavo's. The group grew up together in Gwinnett County, just northeast of Atlanta, and began their musical journey with the mixtape "Juug Season" in 2011, followed by "No Label" in 2012.
Breakthrough
Migos achieved mainstream success in 2013 with their breakout single "Versace", which peaked at number 99 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The track gained further recognition when Canadian rapper Drake remixed it, performing it at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. This marked the beginning of their rise in the hip hop scene, leading to the release of their mixtape "Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas)" later that year, solidifying their place in the genre.
Legacy
Over the years, Migos released several influential albums, including the "Culture" series, which showcased their unique style and contributed significantly to the trap music genre. The group was known for their catchy hooks and innovative flows, influencing pop culture and the English language. Despite their disbandment in June 2023, Migos left an indelible mark on the music industry, celebrated for their contributions to hip hop and their role in popularizing the trap sound.

As a group, they were managed by Coach K, the former manager of Gucci Mane and Jeezy, and frequently collaborated with producers DJ Durel, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, and Buddah Bless. Recognized for their contribution to trap music in the 2010s, Billboard stated that the group "influenced pop culture and the entire English language by bringing their North Atlanta roots to the mainstream".
