Early Life and Education

Oksana Gennadyevna Borodina, known professionally as Oxana Fedorova, was born in Pskov, Russia, to Gennadiy Fedorov, a nuclear physicist, and Elena Fedorova, a psychiatric nurse. After her parents divorced when she was three, she was raised by her mother and maternal grandparents. Fedorova attended a lyceum in Pskov from 1985 to 1995, where she captained the volleyball team and learned to play the guitar. Initially aspiring to be a model, she faced rejection from agencies in Saint Petersburg and Moscow. After a brief stint as a police officer, she moved to Saint Petersburg to study at the Saint Petersburg State University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where she later earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in civil law.

Career

Fedorova's career began in law enforcement, where she worked as an investigator for the Pulkovo Transport Police while studying. She was promoted to captain in 2002 and major in 2005. In 1999, she transitioned to modeling and beauty pageants, winning titles such as Miss Saint Petersburg and Miss Russia in 2001. Her crowning achievement came in 2002 when she won the Miss Universe title in San Juan, Puerto Rico, although her reign was cut short due to her inability to fulfill the associated duties.

Personal Life

Fedorova is a practicing member of the Russian Orthodox Church. She was married to German model Philip Toft from 2007 to 2010 and later to Andrey Borodin, a KGB officer, with whom she has two children. Beyond her modeling and pageantry, she has also been involved in charitable activities and political campaigns, notably for the Russian Party of Life. In 2024, she was honored as an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, recognizing her contributions to the arts and society.
