Early Life

AnnaSophia Robb was born on December 8, 1993, in Denver, Colorado, as the only child of Janet, an interior designer, and David Robb, an architect. Named after her maternal great-grandmother and paternal grandmother, she has a diverse heritage that includes Danish, English, Irish, Scottish, German, and Swedish roots. Growing up in a devout Christian household, Robb was homeschooled and began her journey into acting by performing at her church. She also competed in dance and gymnastics for several years before deciding to focus solely on acting. Robb graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2012.

Career

Robb's acting career took off when she was scouted by an agent at the age of eight, leading her and her mother to Los Angeles for auditions. She gained early recognition with a national commercial for Bratz dolls and a guest role on "Drake & Josh." Her breakout roles came in 2005 with the films "Because of Winn-Dixie" and Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," the latter of which significantly boosted her popularity among young audiences. In 2007, she starred in "Bridge to Terabithia," where she recorded the song "Keep Your Mind Wide Open" for the soundtrack, marking her first charting single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Personal Life

In 2014, Robb enrolled at New York University, graduating in 2018. She announced her engagement to Trevor Paul on September 7, 2021, and they married on September 10, 2022, in a picturesque celebration in New York's Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains. Robb has also been active in recent Hollywood labor disputes, showcasing her commitment to the industry and her peers.
