Blake Clark

Early Life

Blake Clark was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, in 1946. He served as a first lieutenant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War with the 5th Infantry Division. After his military service, Clark explored various careers, including working as a football coach and a high school history teacher, before pursuing his passion for comedy.

Career

In 1980, Clark moved to Los Angeles to break into the entertainment industry. His big break came in 1984 when he co-starred in the George Carlin HBO TV show Apt. 2C, although only the pilot episode was produced. He became a familiar face in numerous Adam Sandler films, including The Waterboy, Little Nicky, and 50 First Dates. Clark also made guest appearances on popular television series such as Home Improvement and Boy Meets World, where he played the character Chet Hunter.

In addition to his live-action roles, Clark is well-known for voicing Slinky Dog in the Toy Story franchise, a role he took over from his late friend Jim Varney. He first voiced the character in Toy Story 3 and has continued to reprise the role in subsequent films and video games, capturing the essence of Slinky Dog's character with his unique voice.
