Dead by Sunrise

Formation

Dead by Sunrise was formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California, by vocalist Chester Bennington during a break from his primary band, Linkin Park. The inception of the band was influenced by Bennington's desire to explore darker and moodier musical themes that he felt were not suitable for Linkin Park. The name "Dead by Sunrise" was chosen to reflect his lifestyle at the time, as he felt like a vampire due to his nocturnal habits while working on the album.

Key Releases

The band's debut studio album, "Out of Ashes," was released on October 13, 2009, showcasing a blend of alternative rock, post-grunge, hard rock, and electronic rock. The album included notable singles such as "Crawl Back In," "Let Down," and "Fire," which helped establish their presence in the rock music scene.

Disbandment and Legacy

Dead by Sunrise disbanded in September 2018, marking the end of a project that allowed Bennington to express a different side of his musical identity. Despite their relatively short career, the band left a lasting impact on fans and contributed to the diverse landscape of rock music during their active years. Their unique sound and Bennington's powerful vocals continue to resonate with listeners, solidifying their place in the rock genre.
