Disturbed is an American heavy metal band formed in 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. The original lineup consisted of guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren, and bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, who were previously in a band called Brawl with vocalist Erich Awalt. After Awalt left the band, the remaining members sought a new lead singer and found David Draiman in 1996, who replaced Awalt and brought a new dynamic to the group. John Moyer joined as the bassist in 2004, replacing Kmak, and has been a key member since then.
Breakthrough
