Early Life

Emily Jordan Osment was born on March 10, 1992, in Los Angeles, California, to actor Michael Eugene Osment and Theresa Osment, an English teacher. Raised in a Catholic household, she attended Chandler Elementary School in Pasadena. Emily's family background in the entertainment industry, including her older brother, Academy Award-nominee Haley Joel Osment, influenced her early aspirations.

Career

Osment's career began at a young age when she was cast in a commercial for FTD in 1997. She made her acting debut in the 1999 film "The Secret Life of Girls" and gained recognition for her role as Gerti Giggles in the "Spy Kids" series. However, it was her role as Lilly Truscott on the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" (2006-2011) that catapulted her to fame. This role not only showcased her acting talent but also paved the way for her music career. Emily released her debut album, "Fight or Flight," and several singles, including "I Don't Think About It" and "Lovesick." Her music spans various genres, including pop, dance-pop, and electro, and she has worked with notable record labels such as Wind-up Records and Interscope Records.

Philanthropy and Personal Life
