Early Life

Emmanuelle Seigner was born into a family deeply rooted in the arts. She is the daughter of photographer Jean-Louis Seigner and journalist Aline Ponelle, and she has two sisters, Mathilde, an actress, and Marie-Amélie, a singer. The Seigner family boasts a rich theatrical heritage, being the granddaughters of actor Louis Seigner and the nieces of actress Françoise Seigner. Emmanuelle was educated at a Catholic convent school and began her modeling career at the young age of fourteen.
