Glen Travis Campbell was born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, Arkansas, to John Wesley and Carrie Dell Campbell. Campbell also hosted "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" on CBS from 1969 to 1972, further solidifying his status as a household name. Personal Life

Campbell's personal life was marked by four marriages and a total of nine children. His relationships often drew media attention, particularly his romance with fellow country artist Tanya Tucker. In 2011, he publicly announced his diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, which he battled until his death on August 8, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee.
