Early Life

Adila Sedraïa, known professionally as Indila, was born on June 26, 1984, in Paris, France. Growing up in a multicultural environment, she is of Algerian, Cambodian, Indian, and Egyptian descent. Her mother worked as a caregiver, and her grandmother was a wedding singer, which likely influenced her passion for music. Indila has two sisters and describes herself as a "child of the world." Before embarking on her music career, she worked as a tour guide at the Marché international de Rungis. Her stage name, Indila, reflects her deep love for India.

Indila's music career began around 2005 when she started featuring her vocals in various tracks, including "Dans Les Yeux" by rapper Sell One. Her breakthrough came in December 2013 with the release of her debut single, "Dernière danse," which soared to number two on the SNEP chart in France. Following this success, she released her debut album, "Mini World," in February 2014, which received widespread acclaim and commercial success.
