Early Life

Jake Wesley Rogers was born and raised in Ozark, Missouri, where he discovered his passion for music at a young age. He learned to play the guitar at six and began piano and voice training by twelve. His early exposure to music was enriched by attending concerts of influential artists like Lady Gaga and Nelly Furtado. Rogers came out as gay in sixth grade, navigating the complexities of his identity in a culturally conservative environment. At fifteen, he showcased his talent on the seventh season of America's Got Talent, making it to the top 48 before being eliminated, only to be brought back by judge Sharon Osbourne, though he was ultimately eliminated again in the Wild Card round.

Career

Rogers moved to Nashville at eighteen to pursue songwriting at Belmont University, where his live performances caught the attention of Sony/ATV, leading to a publishing deal. He released his debut EP, "Evergreen," in June 2017, followed by singles like "Jacob from the Bible" and "Little Queen" in 2019. His sophomore EP, "Spiritual," was released in April 2019, and he toured Europe later that year. In November 2020, he contributed to the "Happiest Season" soundtrack, showcasing his connection to the LGBTQ community.

In May 2021, Rogers signed with Warner Records through Justin Tranter's imprint, Facet Records. His debut major label single, "Middle of Love," was released alongside the announcement of his upcoming EP. Rogers made his television debut on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in October 2021, performing "Middle of Love," which marked a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
