Jake Zyrus, born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco on May 10, 1992, in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines, was raised by his single mother, Racquel. His journey in music began with local competitions, leading to his participation in the talent show "Little Big Star" in 2005, where he gained recognition despite finishing in third place. Raised in the Iglesia ni Cristo faith, Zyrus was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church at 18.
