James Marsden

Early Life

James Paul Marsden was born on September 18, 1973, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is the son of Kathleen, a nutritionist, and James Luther Marsden, a food safety advisor. Marsden grew up in a family with four siblings, including two younger sisters and two brothers. After attending Hefner Middle School and Putnam City North High School, he pursued studies in broadcast journalism at Oklahoma State University. However, he left after a year and a half to chase his dream of becoming an actor in Los Angeles.

Career

Marsden's acting career began in the early 1990s with guest roles in popular television shows such as "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" and "Party of Five." He gained significant recognition for his role as Cyclops in the X-Men film series, appearing in four films from 2000 to 2014. His filmography also includes notable performances in "The Notebook" (2004), "Superman Returns" (2006), and "Hairspray" (2007).
