Early Life

Jane Krakowski was born on October 11, 1968, in Parsippany, New Jersey, to a family deeply rooted in the arts. Her father, Edward A. Krajkowski, was a chemical engineer and a former recording artist, while her mother, Barbara, was a college theater instructor and the producing artistic director for the Women's Theater Company. Growing up in this creative environment, Krakowski was immersed in local theater from a young age, often accompanying her parents to their performances instead of being babysat. She began ballet lessons at age four but shifted her focus to Broadway dancing, eventually attending the Professional Children's School in New York City and the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

Career

Krakowski's career took off at the age of 12 when she appeared in a television commercial. Her feature film debut came at 14 in the comedy "National Lampoon's Vacation." She gained recognition for her role as Theresa Rebecca "T.R." Kendall in the soap opera "Search for Tomorrow" from 1984 to 1986, earning Daytime Emmy nominations. On Broadway, she originated the role of Dinah the Dining Car in "Starlight Express" and starred in the musical "Grand Hotel," for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Her television career flourished with notable roles in series like "Ally McBeal" and "30 Rock," where she portrayed Jenna Maroney, earning four Primetime Emmy nominations. More recently, she starred in Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," receiving another Emmy nomination.

Personal Life

In her personal life, Krakowski became engaged to Robert Godley in 2009, and they welcomed a son in April 2011 before separating in 2013. In early 2021, rumors circulated about a brief relationship with Mike Lindell, which both parties denied, leading to a libel lawsuit against the Daily Mail that was ultimately dismissed.
