Early Life

Jesse Adam Eisenberg was born in Astoria, Queens, New York City, and raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He grew up in a secular Jewish household, with roots tracing back to Poland and Ukraine. His mother, Amy, was a clown and later a teacher, while his father, Barry, transitioned from driving a taxi to becoming a college professor. Eisenberg's early life was marked by a struggle with anxiety, which led him to find solace in acting. He began performing in plays at a young age, landing his first significant role as Oliver Twist in a children's theater production.

Career

Eisenberg's career took off when he starred in the independent film "Roger Dodger" during his senior year of high school, which prevented him from attending New York University. He made his television debut in the series "Get Real" and gained recognition for his portrayal of socially awkward characters in both comedies and dramas. Notably, he played Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network," a role that earned him critical acclaim and several award nominations, including two Academy Award nominations.
