Early Life

Juliette Lake Lewis was born on June 21, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, to actor Geoffrey Lewis and graphic designer Glenis Batley. Growing up in a creative environment, she had eight siblings, including a step-sister. Her parents divorced when she was just two years old, leading her to split her childhood between their homes. At 15, she made the bold decision to drop out of high school and became legally emancipated, allowing her to pursue acting more freely.

Career

Lewis's career began with a minor role in the film "Bronco Billy" (1980), but she gained significant attention with her performance in the television film "Home Fires" (1987). She starred in the ABC sitcom "I Married Dora" and became known for her role as Audrey Griswold in the holiday classic "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" (1989). Transitioning into music, she formed a band and released several EPs, including "Stickup" and "Future Deep," and singles like "Fantasy Bar" and "Uh Huh." Her music is characterized by a rock genre, showcasing her vocal talents.

Personal Life

Lewis has been open about her struggles with addiction, crediting Scientology's Narconon program for her recovery. She was married to professional skateboarder Steve Berra from 1999 to 2003, describing their divorce as amicable. Over the years, she has supported various causes, including Little Kids Rock, which promotes music education for children. Despite her early ties to Scientology, she has distanced herself from the organization, identifying more as a spiritualist in recent years.
