Early Life

Keanu Charles Reeves was born on September 2, 1964, in Beirut, Lebanon, to Patricia, a costume designer, and Samuel Nowlin Reeves Jr. His diverse heritage includes English, Native Hawaiian, Chinese, and Portuguese roots. After his parents' divorce in 1966, Reeves moved with his mother to Sydney, Australia, and later to New York City, where she remarried. Growing up in Toronto, he was exposed to various cultures and arts, which influenced his artistic development. At the age of nine, he participated in a theatre production of "Damn Yankees," marking the beginning of his journey in the performing arts.

Career

Reeves began his career in 1984 as a correspondent for the CBC youth program "Going Great" and made his acting debut in the television series "Hangin' In."
