Early Life

Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, known professionally as KSI, was born on June 19, 1993, in London, England, and raised in Watford, Hertfordshire. He comes from a diverse background, with his father hailing from Nigeria and his mother from London. KSI was educated at Reddiford School and Berkhamsted School, where he met Simon Minter, a future collaborator. He has a younger brother, Deji Olatunji, who is also a prominent YouTuber and boxer. The brothers were recognized as the "UK's Most Influential YouTube Creators" in 2015.

Career

KSI's career began in 2008 when he created his first YouTube account, but he gained significant popularity after launching his current channel in 2009, where he focused on FIFA gaming videos. His channel's name, KSI, stands for Knowledge Strength Integrity, inspired by a gaming clan. He dropped out of college to pursue YouTube full-time, quickly amassing a large following. KSI transitioned into music, releasing his debut single "Lamborghini" in 2015, which charted in the UK. His musical journey continued with several successful albums and EPs, including "Dissimulation" and "All Over the Place."

Boxing Career

KSI also ventured into boxing, starting with a match against fellow YouTuber Joe Weller in 2018, which he won by technical knockout. This fight marked the beginning of his boxing career, leading to a high-profile bout against Logan Paul, which ended in a draw. Their rematch in 2019 was a professional fight, showcasing KSI's growth as an athlete beyond his online persona.
