Early Life

Laura Marie Marano was born on November 29, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, to college professor Damiano Marano and former actress Ellen Marano, who owns the Agoura Children's Theatre. Growing up in a creative environment, Laura was introduced to acting at a young age and began expressing her desire to pursue it professionally at just five years old. She also started learning to play the piano at nine. Despite her burgeoning career, Laura prioritized her education, attending traditional school while working, and later enrolled at the University of Southern California, majoring in philosophy, politics, and law.

Career

Marano's acting career began with small roles in various television shows and commercials, but she gained significant recognition for her role as Ally Dawson in the Disney Channel series "Austin & Ally," which aired from 2011 to 2016. During this time, she recorded several songs for the show's soundtrack, showcasing her musical talent. Beyond television, Laura has appeared in films such as "A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish" and the Netflix original movie "The Perfect Date." Her versatility as an actress is complemented by her music career, which includes multiple EPs and singles, such as "La La" and "Me."

Philanthropy
