Gazzy Fabio Garcia, known professionally as Lil Pump, was born on August 17, 2000, in Miami, Florida. He grew up in a Colombian-American household, with his parents divorcing when he was just six years old. Lil Pump's music career began in 2016 when Smokepurpp produced a track for him to freestyle over, leading to the release of his debut single, "Lil Pump" on SoundCloud. His unique style quickly gained traction, and he followed up with hits like "Elementary" and "Drum$tick," each amassing millions of streams. By 2017, he had become a prominent figure in the SoundCloud rap scene, with singles like "D Rose" and "Gucci Gang" propelling him to mainstream success. "Gucci Gang" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying his status as a leading voice in hip-hop. He signed with Tha Lights Global and Warner Records, although his contract was voided due to his age at the time of signing.
