Early Life

Lindsey Stirling was born on September 21, 1986, in the United States, as the middle child of three daughters in a modest household. Growing up in Gilbert, Arizona, she faced financial limitations that restricted her access to music education. Despite this, her parents found a violin teacher who offered half lessons, allowing her to begin her violin journey at the age of five. Stirling's passion for music was evident early on, and she also had a strong desire to dance, which she had to set aside due to her family's financial constraints. She attended Mesquite High School, where she formed a rock band called Stomp on Melvin, showcasing her talent and winning the state title of Arizona's Junior Miss.

Career

Stirling's career took off after she became a quarter-finalist on the fifth season of "America's Got Talent" in 2010, where she was recognized for her unique blend of hip-hop, pop, and classical music, all while dancing and playing the violin. Her electrifying performances captivated audiences, leading to a successful music career. She has released several albums, including her self-titled debut, "Shatter Me," and "Warmer in the Winter," and has collaborated with various artists. Personal Life

Stirling attended Brigham Young University, where she studied filmmaking and later served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation management in 2015. Stirling is also known for her philanthropic efforts, including partnerships with organizations like the Atlanta Music Project and Ronald McDonald House Charities. In her personal life, she has a chihuahua named Luna, who has been a source of comfort during challenging times. Stirling continues to inspire many with her music and dedication to social causes.
