Career

Mango's musical journey began in the 1970s, but he truly rose to fame with his 1986 album "Odissea," featuring the hit song "Oro," which became one of his signature tracks. Over the years, he released numerous albums, including notable works such as "La mia ragazza è un gran caldo," "È pericoloso sporgersi," and "Australia." His music often reflected his artistic influences, notably Peter Gabriel, and he became known for other hits like "Lei verrà," "Mediterraneo," and "Bella d'estate."

Personal Life

Despite his fame, Mango was a very private individual who rarely sought the spotlight. He was married to Laura Valente, a vocalist from the pop band Matia Bazar, and together they had two children, Filippo and Angelina. Both children followed in their father's musical footsteps, with Filippo playing drums and Angelina contributing her voice to his projects. Mango's family life remained a cornerstone of his existence until his passing on December 8, 2014, marking the end of an era in Italian music.
