Mark Salling

Early Life and Education

Mark Wayne Salling was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1982, as the younger of two children to John Robert Salling Jr. and Condy Sue Salling. He was home-schooled early on and later attended Culver Military Academy, though he did not graduate. He completed his education at Lake Highlands High School in 2001, where he was also a member of the wrestling team. Following high school, Salling pursued music at the Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music in Pasadena, California, where he studied guitar and began giving lessons to support himself.

Career

Salling's career spanned both music and acting. He performed under the name Jericho, releasing his debut album "Smoke Signals" in 2008. His second album, "Pipe Dreams," was released in 2010 and showcased his talents as a composer, performer, and producer. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the hit television series "Glee," where he showcased his vocal abilities through various song covers. Salling also created a tribute video titled "Chillin' on Glee" featuring cast and crew members.

Personal Life

In his personal life, Salling dated his "Glee" co-star Naya Rivera from 2007 to 2010 and later had a relationship with Playboy model DJ Roxanne Dawn. He was known for his passion for birdwatching, being an active member of the Echo Park Ornithology Club, and even wrote its theme song. Salling was involved in animal rescue, reflecting his love for animals and nature.
