Extract from Wikipedia
Michael McGlynn is an Irish composer and the founder and artistic director of the vocal ensemble Anúna, which he established in Dublin in 1987 as the principal vehicle for the creation, performance, and recording of his music. His work draws on medieval polyphony, Irish traditional music, and contemporary compositional language, and has been discussed in scholarship as part of the development of a distinctively Irish choral voice.
