Early Life

Michael John Myers was born on May 25, 1963, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, to British immigrant parents who were both World War II veterans. His mother, Alice "Bunny" E. Hind, served in the Women's Royal Air Force, while his father, Eric Myers, was in the Royal Engineers. Growing up in a family with two older brothers, one of whom is a musician, Myers was influenced by a rich cultural background. He attended Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute and graduated from Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute in 1982, where he began to develop his comedic talents.

Career

Myers' career in entertainment began at a young age, performing in commercials by the age of eight. He gained early recognition for his role as Wayne Campbell in the popular "Wayne's World" franchise, which showcased his unique comedic style. After moving to the UK, he became a founding member of The Comedy Store Players and later returned to Canada to join The Second City. His work in television and film earned him numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002. An avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Myers has also played for the celebrity soccer team Hollywood United and participated in charity matches, showcasing his love for sports alongside his entertainment career. His interests include playing Dungeons & Dragons, reflecting his playful and creative spirit.
