Early Life

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as NTR Jr., was born on May 20, 1983, to renowned film actor and politician Nandamuri Harikrishna and Shalini Bhaskar Rao. He hails from a prominent Telugu family, being the grandson of the legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. NTR Jr. completed his schooling at Vidyaranya High School in Hyderabad and pursued his intermediate education at St. Mary's College, also in Hyderabad. He is a trained Kuchipudi dancer, showcasing his artistic talents from a young age.

Career

NTR Jr.'s acting career began with a cameo in the 1991 film "Brahmarshi Viswamitra," where he appeared alongside his grandfather. His debut as a child artist came in 1997 with the mythological film "Ramayanam," which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. His transition to lead roles was marked by the success of "Student No: 1" in 2001, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. His breakthrough role in "Aadi" (2002) established him as a major star in Telugu cinema, leading to a series of successful films that solidified his status as one of the highest-paid actors in the industry. Over the years, he has received numerous accolades, including three Filmfare Awards South and two Nandi Awards.

Personal Life

NTR Jr. married Lakshmi Pranathi on May 5, 2011, in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad. The couple has two sons together. In addition to his native Telugu, he is a polyglot, fluent in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, and English, and has some knowledge of Japanese.
