Early Life

Naomi Elaine Campbell was born on May 22, 1970, in Lambeth, South London, to Jamaican-born dancer Valerie Morris. Raised primarily by her mother, Campbell has never met her biological father, who abandoned her mother during pregnancy. She spent her early years in Rome, Italy, where her mother worked as a dancer, before returning to London. Campbell's artistic journey began early; she attended the Barbara Speake Stage School from age three and later the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, where she studied ballet.

Career

Campbell's career took off at a young age when she made her first public appearance in Bob Marley's music video for "Is This Love" at just eight years old.
