Nathan Trent

Early Life

Nathanaele Koll, known professionally as Nathan Trent, was born on April 4, 1992, in Innsbruck, Austria. He hails from a musically inclined family, with his father, Reinhard Koll, being a violinist, and his mother originating from Trieste, Italy. Growing up in a bilingual environment, Trent was fluent in both Italian and German. He pursued his passion for music at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, where he honed his skills.

Career

Nathan Trent's music career took off in 2016 when he released his debut single "Like It Is" on June 18. His big break came when he was announced as Austria's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. His entry, "Running on Air," was released on February 28, 2017, and he competed in the contest, finishing in 16th place with a total of 93 points. Trent was among 33 artists shortlisted for the German selection contest, Unser Song 2017, but was eliminated due to regulations preventing an artist from representing more than one country in the same year. Since then, he has continued to develop his career in pop music, showcasing his talents as both a vocalist and a violinist.
