Early Life

Noel Thomas David Gallagher was born on May 29, 1967, in the Longsight area of Manchester, England, to Irish Catholic parents Peggy and Thomas Gallagher. Growing up in a challenging environment, he faced a difficult childhood marked by his father's alcoholism and physical abuse. This tumultuous upbringing led to struggles with stuttering and dyslexia, which he overcame through speech therapy. After his parents separated in 1976, Noel and his brothers were raised by their mother, who instilled in them a strong desire to escape their circumstances.
