Early Life

Paul Mazzolini, known by his stage name Gazebo, was born on February 18, 1960, in Beirut, Lebanon, where his father served as a diplomat for the Italian embassy. His family's journey took them across various countries, including Jordan, Denmark, and France, which enriched his multicultural upbringing. Mazzolini's musical journey began in London, where he worked as a guitarist. He graduated in 1983 with a degree in French literature and adopted the catchy stage name 'Gazebo', inspired by the pavilion structure of the same name. During his time in Denmark, he even learned to speak Danish, showcasing his adaptability and linguistic skills.

Career

Gazebo burst onto the music scene in 1982 with his debut single "Masterpiece", which achieved significant commercial success, peaking at number two on the Italian charts. His follow-up single, "I Like Chopin", released in 1983, became a global sensation, selling 8 million copies and reaching number one in Italy and 15 other countries, including Germany and Spain. His other hit, "Lunatic", also made waves, landing in the Top Ten across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Collaborating with producer Pierluigi Giombini, he co-wrote the iconic track "Dolce Vita" for Ryan Paris. Gazebo continues to tour and produce music, demonstrating his enduring presence in the industry. In 2014, he expanded his artistic repertoire by acting in the film-comedy "Sexy Shop".
