P.M. Dawn is an American alternative hip-hop and R&B act from Jersey City, New Jersey formed in 1988. The group was founded as a duo by brothers Attrell Cordes and Jarrett Cordes. The group was noted for an eclectic and non-traditional take on hip-hop, and had significant crossover success in the early 1990s by merging hip-hop, older soul, and more pop-oriented urban R&B.
