Early Life and Background

Sara Briški Cirman, known by her stage name Raiven, is a talented Slovenian musician born in Slovenia. She has made a significant mark in the music industry as a singer, songwriter, and harpist. Raiven first gained public attention in 2016 when she competed in the national final Evrovizijska Melodija (EMA) for the Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Črno bel," where she impressively placed second. This early recognition set the stage for her future endeavors in music.

Career Highlights

Raiven's career took off with the release of her debut album, "Magenta," in 2017, which earned her the prestigious Zlata piščal award for record of the year from the Slovenian cultural and artistic association. She continued to build her reputation by returning to EMA in subsequent years, placing third in 2017 with "Zažarim" and second again in 2019 with "Kaos." In 2018, she began collaborating with songwriters and producers at Metropolis Studios in London, leading to the release of her acclaimed EP, "REM."

Her live performances have also been noteworthy; on July 4, 2019, she performed at the Exit Festival in Novi Sad, which recorded over 56,000 attendees, marking a historic moment for the festival. Raiven has showcased her versatility by performing with various orchestras, including the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and the Slovenian Baroque Orchestra. In 2021, she won the Grand Audience Award at the Popevka 21 festival with her song "Volkovi," further solidifying her status in the Slovenian music scene.
