Rosalía Vila Tobella, known simply as Rosalía, was born in 1992 in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Catalonia, Spain. Raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, she grew up in a family without a musical background, yet her passion for music ignited at the age of 14 when she discovered the works of Camarón de la Isla. This early fascination led her to pursue formal music education, culminating in a degree from the Superior School of Music of Catalonia in 2017.

Career

Rosalía's career took off with the release of her debut album, "Los Ángeles," in 2017, which showcased her flamenco roots. However, it was her second album, "El Mal Querer," released later that year, that catapulted her to fame, particularly with the hit single "Malamente."
